ARLINGTON, Texas – Manny Pacquiao decisively took his place among the greatest boxers in history before a crowd of 41,734 at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas and millions of viewers around the world on Saturday, November 13. He defeated Mexican Antonio Margarito in a unanimous decision for the World Boxing Council junior middle-weight (154 pounds) crown, thus winning his eighth boxing title in as many different weight classes.

Despite some pre-match worries of many fans and commentators who speculated that Pacquiao was not totally focussed on this fight with his largest opponent ever, the Saranggani congressman, nevertheless, soundly thrashed Margarito who had a 17-pound and nearly five-inch height advantage over him.
