The Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen and Professionals (BCBP) Winnipeg Mission held its third breakfast meeting on October 19, 2019, at Canad Inns Garden City. Forty-seven people attended the event.

Niel Mariano, who currently serves as a Unit Leader and Head of the Music Ministry for the BCBP Greater Toronto Area (GTA) East Chapter, and his wife, Tess, shared their story of how, as a couple, they were able to overcome their fears, anxieties and painful experiences in life. Putting trust and faith in God and joining the BCBP has enabled them to turn those challenges into opportunities and transformed their lives.

Through the years of being a BCBP member, and with the full support of his wife, Tess, Niel assumed various positions in the BCBP–GTA, including Family Director, Action Group Leader, and Youth and Singles Ministry Head.

Tess, whose passion and talent for music has been deep rooted since her childhood, and Niel also held a mini-workshop on music ministry and how to conduct an action group Meeting with BCBP Winnipeg members right after the breakfast meeting.

The BCBP is a community of like-minded Christian businessmen and professionals who have consciously decided to band together to bring Christ into their workplaces, businesses and community. In Canada, the BCBP now has chapters and outreach in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Edmonton, Vancouver, Calgary, Hamilton, and Montreal.

BCBP Winnipeg, which is recognized as a Catholic lay organization by the Archdiocese of Winnipeg, is now gearing up for its first Christian Life Program (CLP) in Winnipeg to be held from November 29 to December 1, 2019.
