Now in its 25th year, IKAW Free Basketball is the longest running Filipino Basketball League in Winnipeg for kids aged six to 15. This will be the last year for Commissioner Jerry Medina who is retiring after this season. Medina said he is very thankful to all 24 teams in making this season a very special and memorable one. He also thanks all the parents, volunteers and committee members, namely: Rod Domingo, Dondy Lagunay, Phil Jularbal, Rico Fernandez, Bong Rafael, Jojo Cerdon, Obet Quirante, Maila Medina, Jerwin Medina, Bhoy Gali, Larry Guiterrez, Joe Baldo, Aliyah and Mason Medina, Jun Tresvalles, Marvin Macabeo, Mike Ragel, and Glenn Librando. Thank also go to marketing directors Salvador Raquid, Phil Jularbal and Sonny Cestina.
