Young actress Nadine Samonte recently moved from her home studio at the GMA network to play the challenging dual role of twin sisters in the new TV5 series, The Sisters.

“I am very much thankful to TV5 for trusting me to do this project,” said Samonte in a recent press conference.

Based on the komiks serial by Rod Santiago, The Sisters tells the story of twins Christina and Bella whose relationship is put to the test by the consequences of their personal choices.

Perci Intalan, TV5 head for entertainment production, said, “The network is pulling out all the stops to ensure that the new show will be a hit like its predecessors. If there is anything that we have proven after we did soap operas like Babaing Hampaslupa it is the fact that there is an audience out there who is looking for something else to watch aside from what the other major networks are currently offering.”

The Sisters currently airs on TV5 in the 10:00 pm time slot previously occupied by the drama series Babaing Hampaslupa.
